The Finance Development Manager at Wuxly will support with all financial and accounting activity within our rapidly growing company.  The Finance Development Manager will apply their experience and accounting principles to prepare financial reports, compile financial statement, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance.  They will be the POC for all accounting issues, as well as liaise with 3rd party vendors on financial matters relating to the company. The Finance Development Manager will understand the nuances of our growing company and, like we pride ourselves in our jackets, ensure accuracy and a high level of detail in all their work!

Responsibilities of the role

•   Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs

•   Invoicing of all Accounts Receivable and reconciliation

•   Manages Accounts Payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation and entry

•   Provide accurate records for monthly / quarterly financial statements

•   Preparing and paying the regular payroll of the company

•   Perform monthly bank settlements

•   Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, and addressing root causes in consultation with other staff and CEO

•   Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions

•   Prepare documentation for external auditors

•   Prepare commission statements post-events

•   Prepare analysis and forecasting for events 

•   Verify and prepare accrual entries for overhead expenses

•   Perform analytical work on account balances and system transactions

•   Assist with the preparation of information for audits during year-end

•   Lead and Support with grant and funding applications 

•   Perform other duties and take on assignments as the role develops

•   Additional responsibilities as the role develops


Qualifications

•   Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

•   2+ years’ experience in accounting or related field

•   Proficient in Word and Excel

•   Strong written and oral communication skills

•   Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

•   Strong organizational and analytical skills

•   Able to read and understand and “translate” technical forms and financial reports

•   Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships

•   Creative, Out-of-the-box thinker

•   Master problem-solver
