We work in a fast-paced environment with HIGH standards for cleanliness and customer service. At Sweet Cooie's we are trying to give our guests an ice cream experience they can't get anywhere else! The decor, the music, and the uniform are all meant to take you back in time and create an experience our customers will never forget! We take our customer experience seriously, therefore excellent customer service is an absolute MUST.

We are looking for someone who is available 4/5 nights a week and can work as late as 11pm-12am.

Sweet Cooie's (Little Man Ice Cream Co) - Shift Leader 

Job Description 


Title: Shift Leader 

Reports to: Shop Manager Oversees: Scoopers, Bar-backs, and Cone Rollers 

Hours: Beginning 20-30 hours / week nights and weekend availability a must

Salary: DOE - Hourly +Tips 


Experience Requirements: 

 Quick-serve environment  Cleaning and Sanitation Control 

 POS/Cash Handling  Guest Service Expertise 

 Knowledge of food handling safety requirements

Other Requirements: 


 Must have current and valid driver's license 

 Capable of lifting 60+ pounds continuously 

 Capable of standing for long periods of time 

 Reliable & professional

 Hygiene conscious

 Eager to learn 


 Passionate about ice cream and Sweet Cooie's products

The Shift Leader ensures the daily success of the Sweet Cooie's retail front by maintaining the highest standards of conduct as specified in the Little Man Ice Cream Company Manual. 

Performance Standards 

Inventory Management 

1. Stock the shop utilizing the Sweet Cooie's Inventory System 

2. Responsible for purchasing day-to-day supplies that are not in stock 

3. Communicate with Shop Manager on daily basis regarding inventory needs 

4. Responsible for management of cash inventory 


Operations 

1. Perform drawer procedures during opening/closing shifts 

2 Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints 

3. Lead shift through performing opening duties 

4. Lead shift through performing shift-change duties 

5. Lead shift through performing closing duties 

6. Lead shift throughout the day performing: 

• Restocking, cleaning, providing extraordinary guest service, sanitation, patio management, Event management, scooping


Staff Management 

1. Responsible for providing shop staff direction in that employees are following Sweet Cooie's policies and procedures 

2. Communicate staffing needs to Shop Manager/GM 

3. Communicate needs to Pastry Chef 

4. Motivate and energize staff 

5. Responsible for delegation of tasks and procedures 

6. Responsible for enabling company vision and working toward short-term and long-term goals 

7. Communicate news/updates/information to scoopers, cone rollers and other staff 

8. Work as a liaison between staff and management 

9. Commits fully to providing compassion and kindness in development and accountability of entire team 


Customer Service 

1. Responsible for managing staff to be accountable for upholding the highest quality service to our guests

2. Responsible for responding to minor emergencies of customers 

3. Responsible for setting the "stage" and atmosphere of the SC service approach--executing nothing but the highest quality service possible 

4. Relentlessly sharing ideas on how to improve the guest experience


Events 

1. Help manage special on-site and off-site events 

2. Responsible for execution of company promotions and marketing campaigns (shop related only) 


Shop Maintenance 

1. Report any issues, problems, or broken items to Shop Manager/GM for repair 

2. Maintain overall cleanliness with the highest standards for the inside of the shop and outside grounds 

3. Work hand-in-hand with Shop Manager in managing the cleaning/sanitization schedule
