Job Description

New Beginning Homes is looking for a well qualified and experienced, Medical Group Home, House Manager. The qualified House Manager will have at least two years of DDD experience, and more than 1-2 years of management experience. The candidate will be coachable, flexible, and dedicated to the mission of New Beginning Homes. The mission behind New Beginning Homes is to provide exceptional care for members in need of continuous medical attention. All the while, providing a fun, loving, and family-like environment. The House Manager's role will be to set the pace for the team members around them and uphold the values set in place by New Beginning Homes' visionaries. Lastly, an important aspect of the position is the ability to be 'on call' and readily available amidst an emergency. This would require the House Manager to come to the location if needed, so being able to respond to this need is required. Due to the location of the group home being in Laveen, applicants may benefit from living in a 10-15 minute commute.


Primary Functions:

  • Supervising, coaching, and training all direct support staff assigned to the home.
  • Creating a family like home for all residents so they will thrive and reach their potential
  • Create a daily routine that all staff follow to ensure consistency with love and structure 
  • Assuring that all staff are up-to-date on classroom training, as well as training on the unique needs of the residents.
  • Driving residents to medical and med review appointments.
  • Assuring that the resident’s individual plan is carried out in all respects, including any habilitation training and behavior treatment plans.
  • Creating activity schedules for recreational activities.
  • Assuring that all nutritional needs are met, weekly menus are created, and grocery shopping is done.
  • Daily monitoring includes medication, program data, communication logs, and staff schedules.
  • Ensuring that all state-mandated regulations and company policies are maintained at all times.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by Program Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

·      Preferred at least 2 years of college, minimum 1 year of experience 

·      Must have prior supervisory experience, preferably as a group home or program manager

·      Demonstrates strong boundaries and shows care and concern for children and adults with disabilities

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Possess a valid Arizona drivers’ license

·      Must maintain current First Aid, CPR, and Article 9, and Prevention and Support certification 

  • Be able to obtain a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Department of Public Safety and a physical examination prior to employment

·      Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment 

·      Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
