Job Description

Mitchell Delicatessen in Nashville, TN is looking for one prep cook to join our 41 person strong team. We are located on 1306 Mc Gavock Pk. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

Responsibilities

  • Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes
  • Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
  • Weigh and measure ingredients
  • Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
  • Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces
  • Label stock and inventory all ingredients
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Cook Breakfast


Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate and listen to team members
  • Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
  • Experience as a Prep Cook a plus


Hourly pay (depending on experience) + tips

Monday and Tuesday 6am-2pm

Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm

About RUDIES SEAFOOD & SAUSAGE
At Rudie’s, we focus on whole animal butchery and curing, with a passion for creating house made sausages (andouille, bratwurst, beef cheddar, green chili, togarashi, polish). Our seafood is brought in fresh from a few direct sources including Hama Hama Oyster Co. and Kelly and Chris Seafood. Our pigs are raised at Byler Farms, an Amish farm located in Summertown. We also feature seasonal foods as well as vegetarian / vegan plates (vegan hot chicken, hot damn!), homemade desserts, and a full bar serving original house cocktails and Belgium beer in the traditional style, which includes the appropriate glassware and temperature.
