Job Summary

We are a family-oriented business and have been serving the community for over fifteen years in Kuna, Idaho. Our restaurant serves traditional Mexican food with the best ingredients and makes our sauces in-house. We were formerly known as El Gallo Giro, and although we retained the logo, our association with that business has ended, but the same ownership is in place.

Busser's are tipped out by the server. Each busser will be rated by work ethic and behavior. The busser has the opportunity to receive a high rating and receive a higher tip rate.

Our newly open restaurant is looking for a busser who can work well in a fast-paced environment and keep up with things during our busiest times of the day. The Busboy will be responsible for clearing tables as soon as customers leave the restaurant, and working closely with Dishwashers to make sure that there are always clean plates and flatware for each table. Busser Job Responsibilities

A busser serves patrons by setting tables; placing and replacing silverware; keeping beverage glasses full; adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and environment.

  • Supports waitstaff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.
  • Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
  • Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
  • Prepares dining room for patrons by setting tables and stocking all necessary supplies before the beginning of service
  • Clean and reset tables after guests leave
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
  • Assist in washing dishes if the kitchen staff gets behind during the busier times of the dayArrange tables for large parties and prepare the banquet hall for scheduled gatherings

Busser Requirements

  • Work experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level roles in a restaurant is a plus
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
  • Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus
