Job Description

Barrel & Boar in Newark, OH is looking for line cooks to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory


Qualifications

  • Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred
  • Able to meet all scheduling commitments
  • Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
  • Strong attention to detail

About Barrel & Boar Creekside
Barrel & Boar began as Yoho’s Catering in 1983, founded by Art Yoho after his father began distributing the first Southern Pride smokers in Ohio. Yoho’s became one of the first commercial BBQ restaurant and caterers in Columbus. The Yoho’s developed a passion for smoked meats becoming well known for smoking brisket and locally raised whole pigs. The restaurant was located on Westerville Rd. in the old Dog and Suds building the family ran in the 60’s and 70’s.
Barrel & Boar Creekside uses Homebase to manage their team with employee scheduling, timesheets, and applicant tracking.
